What do they require for kindergarten admission?
I wouldn't waste my time with this private school. If they are giving you a hard time before she even starts K, it's probably not going to get better after she starts K. In addition, you mention she gets OT, and private schools aren't always the best at handling kids who need anything "extra". I would just look for either another private school with less stringent requirements, or enroll her in public school.

I wonder about this myself. I have a few teacher friends and they reassure me they most important readiness skill is being a teachable and independent child. Letters, numbers, etc. will come over time.

Trust me, the first 6 months of K were pretty much reteaching her what she already learned in Pre K. Because not all students had the same Pre K experience or they may not have picked it up as quickly.
No matter what, your child will be fine.
