How would you phrase this ???
I know a woman who is one of the managers at my local Lowes. Our DS are friends. She has said to me, on more than one occassion, "if you ever need anything at Lowes, let me know."
Last time she said this was a few months ago and I haven't seen her since. I'm looking at flooring soon and I'm sure if or how I should approach her.
Like, hey, I could use a favor. What can you do for me?

How would you phrase this ???
I probably wouldnt. But if I did I would probably say...
Hey-- (insert pleasantries here). Im looking at this flooring from Lowes. Last time we spoke you said to let you know if I was making any large purchases there. If you still work there let me know. Thanks!!

Maybe say something like "hey, I'm going to be looking for new flooring. Is there someone in that department that you would recommend I talk to?"

How would you phrase this ???
I probably would try to go when she is working and run into her or mention in passing when I see her that you are dreading going to Lowes to pick out flooring and see what she says.
I am not one to reach out and ask for a favor (even if the person tells me that I should).
