Who is in charge of arranging advertisements?
My 2 year old loves watching little You Tube videos.
I google "train videos for toddlers", "race car videos for toddlers", etc. Then I hit the video which links it to you tube. For the past week, whenever he picks a video, you know how they have the commercials that you can't skip until the last 5 seconds before the actual video comes on? Well it has been that commercial for Secrets Resorts. Have you seen it? The one that starts in a restaurant and the one couple asks the other "How was your honeymoon?" and then cue the sexy music, make outs, rubbing each other and frollicking? How is that a commercial an intro to a train video for toddlers?
Then my older son was watching morning cartoons before school on...I can't think of what channel...Nick Jr. or Cartoon Network...and they had the trailer for "Happy Death Day" on during his cartoons at 8 a.m. Have you seen the trailer? It's scary.
Who is scheduling these things? It's so inappropriate!

Try YouTube Kids.... no advertisements that are inappropriate. And come to think of it, I'm not sure if there are any ads at all.

Who is in charge of arranging advertisements?
Youtube and Youtube Kids even make me very uncomfortable for children. They can stumble across some very inappropriate things and there was a lot in the media not too long ago about bizzarre and not child friendly videos being on Youtube Kids.
No one is really screening these things, so it's open for predators and creeps to put up some really scary things. If you were in the same room listening to what they're watching you might not even realize how bad it is. I don't let my kids watch any form of Youtube anymore.

I agree. DS would watch youtube kids and all of the sudden I'd hear screaming or other inappropriate things coming from the tablet. I'd have to run over and shut off whatever he was watching... which then he'd freak out about. Sitting next to him, some of it sounds nice, but the images are terrifying. There are all these fake Caillou videos that show Rosie and Caillou hurting each other. Just listening you'd never know it.
