My son is at the age where the sweet sixteen parties are starting...what is th boy version of the big party and fancy dress?

I didn't think it was a "thing" to acknowledge a boys Sweet 16 in any way..........but maybe times have changed? I don't know.

I took my son and his friends to hibachi for his 16th...and Sky Zone...easy peasy lol.

In about a year and a half, DS will have a standard b-day party with a couple of his friends. He has some 15 and 16yo+ friends, and none of them had, or are planning anything huge for their 16th.

I took picture one year for a sweet 16. She was a twin to a boy. Poor kid wasn't recognized like she was. I felt bad for him. He had some friends there and some of her friends were his. But it was definitely geared towards the girl.

Sweet 16 boys version
When my SS was that age, all of the parties and events were for the girls. There were no parties for the boys and other than going out to a nice family dinner, we did not do anything big for my SS

None... thank goodness bc I have 2 boys!!
Although they will get Bar Mitzvah'd so that will cost me a lot.

We just took my stepson to a nice restaurant and gave him like 200 cash. It was better gift than usual.
For 18th we bought him a guitar and took him and his friend to a very fancy steakhouse.
Boys are easy, keep it that way
