Ears pierced?
How old was your DD when she got her ears pierced? I figured I'd wait until DD asked for them, but I thought she'd be older....she's asking for them now and she's only 2. Anyone pierce a toddler's ears? Part of me wants to get it over with and the other part of me thinks she'll rip them out at night.

Both girls at 3.5 months
ETA: My girls never touched their ears. Once it was in they never even acknowledge them.

DD was 6 months. Our ped won't do it until 6 months. I had mine done when I was 4 months old, so did my sister. DD has never played with them or had any issues. I don't know how it would be with a toddler

Around 6 mos. Their earrings are like a part of them, they never even touch them.

7 Lara mentioned it starting around 5 but I held her off cause id thought she would touch them alot and end up with an infection

Yeah I was going to say...I don't think DD even had a clue what earrings were at 2 years old.
I didn’t think she did either but every day for the past week or so she tells me she wants earrings like mommy. Then tells me her teacher has earrings and another girl at school has earrings. And “why (her name) has no earrings?” “Mommy I want earrings. Please mommy. Please earrings.” She asked my bff on he phone the other day if she had earrings and then said “I want earrings too. Pretty earrings.” I actually do think she understands. But she totally may forget next week.
I don’t have an issue with getting them done I just don’t want her playing with them. I feel like there’s a short window as a baby and then the window doesn’t reopen till 6 or 7.

We pierced DD's ears at 11 months old. She's 2.5yo now and has never played with them. If your DD is asking for them, I say go ahead and do it. My only recommendation is to go somewhere that pierces both ears at once.

My daughter was 4 months old.
DD #2 was around the same age when we had hers pierced. The pediatrician did it.
DD #1 was around 6 months old when we had her ears pierced.

We just got my DD's done over the weekend for her 6th birthday. I did not want to do it when she was a baby, so I waited until she asked for them.

That was our plan too and right around her 7th birthday she started asking. We ended up doing it around 4 months after her birthday.
It was great- she took it like a champ, barely flinched and the after care was easy because she reminded us to "do her ears" 3 times a day!

We will pierce DDs ears when she asks. She is 4 now and has commented on my earring but hasn’t mentioned wanting them herself. I asked her once if she wanted to get her ears pierced and she said only if she could get my little pony earrings..... Hasn’t brought it up since.

My 4 year old has been asking for about a year, on and off. She is pretty persistent now so we will probably go this month and get it done.

3 months old at the pediatrician's office. They were bioplast so they never got infected, and they never touched them.
