That’s how my office was yesterday! I’m off on Thursdays but I would imagine it’s the same. It’s always ICE cold! Someone new started like a month ago and we share an office since we share a position and she asked why I had a blanket, I told her to bring one for winter. Yesterday was my first day back since the 20th she said when she came in 12/26 she was so cold she couldn’t do work and that was with a jacket on! I hate being cold in the office!

Re: 64 degrees

Our office had the AC on yesterday.
I don't get it. In the summer they would never have the AC set to 64 degrees. That's too cold.
So why in the winter?
I basically run my space heater all year round.

So if the heat is broken they should let you all go home. What's going to happen as the day goes on and the temp keeps dropping.
That is bullshitt

100%. I would leave if you can. That's not an acceptable working condition on a 19 degree day! Chat Icon

This used to happen in my old office all the time.

My new office is a toasty 78 degrees and I’m nice and cozy!

I was in my city office last week and it felt that hot. It's normally freezing in there.
I had on a sweater dress and tights and I was sweating. It was also as dry as the Sahara desert in there. I was getting over a cold and I kept choking and I felt like I was going to get a nosebleed from how dry it was.

An office down the hall from us has glass doors and I could see in as I was waiting for the elevator- they had those water bottle personal humidifiers going on their desks.
That's a great idea

I couldn't bear to put my coat on when I was leaving- I was that hot. I walked down 34th street coatless for a few blocks, just to cool myself down

I work in the city, on a higher floor, I assume that is part of the issue

And yes, I look like a damn fool when I walk around with no coat, but it is horrible in here

We keep our house on 64/65 but it feels comfortable. I'm one that hates being cold, so I know it's not an abnormal temperature in here. I keep my car on 70 to feel comfortable. I'd say our thermostat is broken but this is upstairs and down on different zones. Strange.
