I think you can do (for example), “Jack and Jill” and then the wedding date underneath. Engraved on a throw blanket.
I gave that to one of my closest friends as an engagement present, although I also included their monogram which I guess you can’t do here.

Good for her. I wish I had done that, I can't stand my married name.
I would just do their first names or first initials.

I didn’t take my husband’s name. I got a few items that say “M family” that I do use and it doesn’t bother me at all, but if you think it would bother her then just use first names or go generic - like his and hers
