Appropriate time to give gifts?

Do you feel there is an appropriate time to give gifts to people such as co-workers, teachers, bus drivers, mail, sanitation, etc? Is this too early in December? If so, when?

I don’t like waiting until the last minute to give just in case I don’t see them before the holiday. But the gifts are starting to pile up and I want to declutter a bit. Thanks!

I think for the person receiving the gift, it’s appreciated any time. I think any time in December is “holiday season” in my opinion. Also keep in mind that for some people, the holidays start next week, not necessarily on December 25th.

I will probably start handing out next week to the mailman (sometimes it takes a few days for him to actually take it) and the garbage men.

I will mail the newspaper and the recycling next week since they give me cards.

For school - I will do it the week leading up to Christmas.

But, anytime is fine though!

ETA - I hear you on the clutter though!

For coworkers, I would do it the day of your holiday party ( if there is one) or the last day you will both be in the office.

For school related- teachers & bus drivers probably don't take off/call in sick right before a break, so I'd maybe try for the beginning of the last week, or for a classroom teacher, the day of the class party (if there is one.)

Mailmen, garbage men, etc I would do whenever.

Class party for gifts but I’m still collecting money so it’s a waiting game. I’m impatient.

Mail person on Mon. Garbage men I’m waiting for their normal holiday card so I know if it’s two or three guys.

I dropped off my angel tree presents today, felt good to get rid of those. My guest room looks like a bomb hit it and I’m nowhere near done shipping.
