Do you get your hairdresser christmas gift?
I go to one person for cut for many years and I bring her a gift. I have been seeing someone separate for about a year for color. I am not sure if I should bring her something. I will be going this week and also may go back the week between Christmas and new years.

This is always a dilemma for me, I always give a generous tip every time I go and when I go during Christmas I feel like I should give a gift in addition to the tip I give. In the past I have given wine, candy, gift card and more of a tip.
This year I am not sure what to do. What does everyone else do?

I give a card with money to my hairdresser (does both color and cut) and also to my nail tech.

I was going to the same person for 10 years and we had a really nice relationship. She basically knew my whole life and I knew hers. I always gave her a gift card around the holidays.
I’ve since switched to someone more local bc the 40 mins to get to her since I had moved was starting to get to me. I’ve been seeing him for almost a year but we don’t really chat.... I won’t be getting him a gift this year just bc I don’t feel like he’s a vendor I’m close with. Same for my new wax person (used to give my previous one I knew very well a gift every year).

I send her a family card and then just gave an extra generous tip.

No I usually get my haircut in November so I am not really thinking about it, I always give her a $20 tip, she is self employed and works out of her home.

Yes, I give a cash gift in a Christmas card on top of the usual tip. I also tip the assistant a little extra if I recognize her and she's always there. If it's a new girl, then I just tip normal.
