Brunch food ideas
Im having my sons 6th birthday party at my house next Sunday and Im doing brunch instead of the usual heroes, hot food. It starts at 1 and Im wondering what to serve. Im having 15 adults and 5 kids. Bagels, but how many and do I get some mini ones, muffins big and mini, my MIL is making 2 quiches, cold cuts, 3 different kinds of cream cheese. She mentioned scrambled eggs but how do I keep them warm? Can I put them in a crockpot? Do I still put out chips? Im also getting my son his usual ice cream cake for dessert. My house is not that big, I usually have people outside since my other two kids have birthdays in May and July. I was also going to serve Mimosas. What am I missing? I was hoping this would be cheaper and easier then the big usual dinner I have. Thanks so much!

If you are having quiche I wouldn't do scrambled eggs. Maybe french toast and bacon/sausage? Do you have any chaffing dishes? Bed Bath and beyond used to sell inexpensive ones that look nice.

Maybe a veggie tray or cheese and crackers rather than chips? I think with all the options you don't really need the scrambled eggs. You could always put out a few kid's yogurts on ice but again I think you have enough options. I would probably add a fruit salad though. I would probably do 2 dozen bagels and just get them cut in half so you don't have to worry about getting mini ones too.

I agree with some fruit, and I would get everything mini... mini bagels, mini muffins, mini croissants. Will you have coffee for the grown ups? I wouldn't do eggs, only the quiches with different fillings. One with bacon, another with veggies, to give people some options.

I agree with mini everything, most people won't need a full bagel with all of the other stuff, (I would probably do 3 dozen mini bagels in your case, one for most people but a bigger eater can have a second.)
Quiche=eggs , so that is covered I would add fruit or berries Maybe tuna or chicken salad and maybe a small green salad or some sort
ETA-maybe a coffee cake or crumb cake?

Re: Brunch food ideas
We've done many brunch parties. As others have said, the eggs are covered by the quiches. Mini bagels and muffins are great. If you want another hot item, a French toast casserole is easy. Definitely some kind of a fruit platter. The other thing we've added at times was a ham, which goes over well, but if you're trying to keep costs down can be left out. I would also add some kind of coffe cake with the dessert. Enjoy!

If you have a pressure cooker, Starbucks egg bites would make a nice egg dish that’s different from the usual. I have never had these or made these, but there is a cult following for these on the instant pot Facebook page.

Re: Brunch food ideas
When I did a brunch for my DS's 1 st bday I had set up sternos and had:
bacon scrambled eggs homemade breakfast potatoes breakfast sausage
I also had:
two types of quiche french toast casserole assorted pastries and rolls mini bagels and cream cheese danish homemade waffle station with assorted toppings (everyone made their own waffle on demand) yogurt parfaits fresh fruit salad tossed in a lime dressing spiral ham (served at room temp) homemade potato salad a light pasta dish (I think i did garlic and oil)
I know I am forgetting a few things (it's been a while) but you get the general idea. I leaned a little more heavily on the breakfast end because we started the party at 10:30-11am

Assorted quiche Stuffed French toast Bagels with assorted spreads (full size) Muffins Homemade filled croissants Fruit salad
I wouldn't do quiche AND eggs.

I had a lot of people at my brunch but both the plain eggs AND quiches went. I think if you're having a lot of people it's good to have both, some people don't like all of the ingredients in a quiche so having plain eggs is good to have too.

Brunch food ideas
Thank you so much for all these great ideas. My husband works for a food store so he will be bringing home a cheese platter, vegetable platter and fruit platter. Im going to be picking up some muffins, danishes and some other things. I also have an ice cream cake, and a cookie cake. Im sure that Im going to have a ton leftover but that will be fine. Thanks again!!!

Honestly I don't like quiche at all so I will probably make eggs. My MIL is making the quiches and Im not a fan of her food.
