What to do in the Poconos
We are staying at a friend's family home in the Poconos. It's supposed to be about 15 mins from Kalahari in 5 mins from Great Wolf Lodge. Not sure if we'll do the water park since we won't be sleeping there. What are some fun "family" things to do around there? It's 3 families ages 3 - 8 years old. The kids get along well and we are all neighbors so pretty much hang out while the kids play, have some beers and wine together, etc. Any fun bar/restaurants in the area? Stuff to do during the day that's worth going to see?
Thanks

Well, you can't go in the Waterpark at Great Wolf because they don't offer day passes. You can go there and do the ropes course, and all of the other activities though. Their food is awful, so don't go there to eat! Maybe Bushkill Falls, not sure if they are open still

Kalahari has day passes. I'd highly recommend it. The drinks at the bars there are awesome too! And the indoor/outdoor hottub is so cool!

We love Kalahari but, unless there are coupons - the day admission pass is more expensive than staying there. It's $79 for the whole day, $69 for admission after 5 and $69 for military.

Yes. Heard the day pass is pricey so maybe will try the arcade and the rope course. Definitely the brewery. We went to Hershey Park and found a brewery too. LOL

I like that place a lot and also pocono brewing company.
There was a place called the galleria it had bowling and an arcade. Snow tubing is also a lot of fun.

The Poconos is pretty big. There is a lot to do depending on where you are and teh time of year.
Camelback has a ropes course, outdoor and indoor water parks, skiiing.
We did a coal mine tour whcih was interesting, the kids thought it was OK.
We planned to do white water rafting down the river and possibly renting a boat or jet ski.
You can do pony rides and horseback riding at a bunch of places.
For adults there are ATV tours and shooting ranges as well.
