SUV Recommendations?
Hi, everyone! My current lease (Nissan Rogue) is coming to an end in January and I'm in the market for another lease. Looking for an SUV -- don't want anything huge (3rd row really not necessary). AWD and rear-back up camera is a must. Navigation would be nice, too. We currently have a 2.5 DD and will likely be having another child at some point while having this lease. What cars do you currently have/have had that you love and give a nice, smooth ride? Thanks!

I have an Infiniti QX60. I absolutely love it and I am not an SUV person. It drives like a car.

We have the QX50 and LOVE it. It's so beautiful looking too But if you have more than one kid I'd definitely recommend the QX60.... the 50 is small even with one kid. Not a ton of cargo space either.
Wanted to add- the Nissan Rogue is comparable in size to the QX50. It's based on the same frame as Nissian/Infiniti are the same company.
Dh has mentioned that he might want more space next time so he is looking into the Nissan Murano- which is bigger than the Rogue and the QX50 You might want to take a look at the Murano

Re: SUV Recommendations?
I currently have the Chevy Equinox and I love it. When my lease is up in February I'm either going for another Equinox or the new GMC Terrain.

We have a Rav 4 and Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you want size comparablea to the Rogue but a but more power I'd check out the Rav 4. Only downside is the Rav does not (or did not) have an option for remote start. The Sante Fei is really nice too. It was my favorite crossover in that class but I couldn't get the dealers down to my price at the time. I think leasing programs on the Sante Fei have since improved.
I wouldn't recommend the Grand Cherokee. Way too many recalls, way too much maintenance.

SUV Recommendations?
We just leased the Buick Envision- similar in size to the Murano I think. It's their midsize SUV- between the encore (which is tiny) and Enclave (which has third row). Comes with so much standard and the price point is great.

We have this too and definitly love it. Does drive smooth like a car and a ton of room. I like having the 3rd row. I don't use it too much, but it does come in handy once in a while. Trunk is huge too.

LOVE my Toyota Highlander. Really LOVE it, I have no complaints after a year and a half. It has beautiful finishes and drives awesome. We have the Limited with AWD and it has navigation and a rear backup camera as well as parking assist. It's a GREAT SUV.

No remote start? That's weird. Wonder if they did away with it because we have a 2007 Rav4 and it has remote start.
FYI - The Rav4 was great and I loved mine but after having my son I felt it was too cramped with two kids. With all the kids gear and strollers the cargo room wasn't enough nor was the backseat. I ended up getting a Highlander, SO much more space. Love it.

Re: SUV Recommendations?
We have a Nissan Murano and a Toyota Highlander. I love both cars, but the Highlander was a must after the second b/c we needed the bigger trunk space. I think you will regret a smaller SUV (Rogue or Rav4) if you have a second child.

I had an RDX before getting my MDX. I loved both. Amazing drive and love the interiors. I seriously can’t rave enough about them. With 2 children, we really wanted a larger SUV, so we got the MDX. DH still drives the RDX.

Re: SUV Recommendations?
I drive the Volvo XC60 and its a super smooth ride. I debated between the Acura RDX, Audi Q5, Honda CRV, and Lexus RX350 and chose the Volvo for its minimalist interior (hated the Lexus interior, the huge laptop-like screen on top of the dashboard), safety features amd that many luxury features come standard (such as leather seats, rear camera and navigation).
The cool thing about the XC60 is theres an app with remote start (in addition to the key fob remote start) and you can see where your car is at all times (similar to FindmyIphone), and you can program GPS directions into the app and when you start the car, the navi system automatically programs the route. The app also notifies you when any door/window is left open and allows you to lock/unlock remotely. Also, some models come with an automatic built in rear seat child booster seat. Since its a 4 cylinder engine, you also have amazing fuel economy (I average 22-29MPG/highway). The 2018 models now come with an updated touch screen dashboard (same as what the XC90 comes with) so thats a plus.

We have two kids and have the Forester and love it. Great on gas, drives so nice, lots of pick up and the back seat is pretty roomy. Subarus are great vehicles. They are really reliable and hold their value.

My FIL has a Rav 4 with a remote start (2017) so it's still offered.

I'm biased, but 100% RDX or MDX. I work for an Acura dealer, so if you have any questions, FM me!
