NYC in December with Kids

Other than Rockerfeller Center and Macys, is there is anything else Christmas related to see in the city.

Go to Rolf's for lunch. It's decorated so cool for Christmas!

The Plaza...I love their Santa! It's so much nicer then Macy's.
Bryant Park has the rink and a winter village.
Columbus Circle has pop up village for the holidays

My kids adore walking around mid town and seeing all the big holiday decorations some buildings have out.

Bryant park - there's a carousel there and lots of snack foods and shops. Plus ice skaters to watch.

We're doing the tree and the Rockettes with my 6 year old. it sounds like Bryant park might be nice too, I haven't been there Christmastime in a few years.

Last time I did Macys, I thought it was a Sshow. Long Long lines. Santa was good, but the rest of it was a giant waste of time, i feel like it ate way too many hours. This was during the week in December.

We went up to Bloomingdales to use a gift card we received as a gift for our son finally, we don't normally shop there. They had a great santa. Yes they charge for pictures but there was almost no line and it would have been so worth it if we hadnt already waited at macys for 3 hours.

Bryant Park

This is my favorite. Our kids went ice skating last year. It was so fun!

I agree with Bryant Park. We added that to our trip last year and it was a lot of fun.

Macy's offers fast pass time slots. We do it every year. You don't get to see the entire display though (think Disneyworld Fast pass style). You can use your own camera.

There is a Cocoa and Carols cruise, I forget the name of the company, but if you google it comes up.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure you were required at Bloomingdales.

Macy's is free, but you have to wait.

Re: NYC in December with Kids

we go every year to the city with our kids. It has become a a tradition. We spend 2 nights. Before we go in, we go to the Botanical Gardens, for their train display(which is amazing)

We usually see a show. You can see the Christmas Spectacular? Last year we saw Blue Man Group, this year we are seeing Lion King.

We also went to Bryant Park to go ice skating. We waited a long time on line, but paid the extra $ to cut the line by like 45 minutes,
