Hershey Chocolate World

We are heading to Lancaster Friday and wanted to stop at Hershey (not the park) I heard you can make your own chocolate bar and do a free tour.
My question is this - is Hershey Chocolate world by Hershey Park? or is it at another location? Hubby is getting different stories from friends and now we are all confused.

It's directly connected. You can park in one lot or the other and go to either entrance. The last time we were there, Chocolate World opened an hour before the amusement park, so we would go there first, do the activities there, then walk next door to the amusement park entrance.

The circle in the middle of the map is where the trams drop you off for either Chocolate World or Hershey Park.

To add to the pp, just make sure you are parking in "chocolate world" parking which is free for up to 2 or 3 hours.

Chocolate world is a 3 minute walk from the park entrance but it's a separate building.

Just to add - the tour is free, but they have other (3 or 4) paid activities.

Make sure to get a Chocolate Shake at Chocolate World it is the best I ever had

There is also a gift shop and food court with amazing dessert in Chocolate World.
