Defend Obamacare!!!
Not interested in a debate please. No time.
I know most people with a strong opinion are already getting this info but here it is just in case. Well intentioned people often have to shut off the flow of info just to keep from losing it sometimes!
Here is some info on defending Obamacare. The latest incarnation of repeal is reputed to be even more odious than the previous ones.
If they don't pass it by 9/30 then they'll need 60 votes for any bill which they won't get in this Congress.
We just have to get through the next 11 days to save healthcare and literally keep people from dying.
Even though we have Democratic Senators it still makes sense to reach out to them because they record the info, talk to each other, make deals, etc. Speaking out even in support of their no vote still helps.
some info and numbers

Re: Defend Obamacare!!!
Maybe it's because I'm a relatively decent human being, but I don't understand how after 8+ years of trying to repeal the ACA, the only options that the GOP can come up with are some off the cuff, napkin notes at the last possible second. No public knowledge of what's in the bills. Even the GOP doesn't know what they are voting on. No input from medical and insurance companies, doctors, nurses, etc. No debates, no public forums.
However, when the ACA was passed with 18+ months of public discussions, bipartisan modifications to the bill, and tons of input from various groups and organizations, it's "being forced down our throats".
And every single GOP bill will raise rates for everyone (except the super rich), eliminate options, many (including the current one) will remove the pre-existing condition safety nets, and put millions of people's lives and/or savings in massive jeopardy.
Fine, everyone wants to fix the ACA. None of the proposed bills comes even remotely close to that. Most of them do the exact opposite....
