Farm Stands
DH and I would like to take a day trip out East to shop at some farm stands. We're coming from Bayside, Queens.
What are some good ones, worth the drive to get fresh produce and other goodies ?
Places to stop and eat nearby, fuel up for the trek home ?

Farm Stands
Just drive down Sound Ave. Take the LIE to Edwards Ave and head north. There is gas long the way. Once you're on Sound there are tons of places to stop. Go to Briermere for a pie. You can also go through Jamesport and Aquebogue which are pretty towns. Cooperage Inn, Sound Bistro, and Phils Waterfront are great to eat.

Farm Stands
Briermere farms has great produce and goodies and they're not very far out. There's also Garden of Eve which is an organic farm and is pretty close to Briermere. Both are on Sound Avenue which is a beautiful drive with lots of farms and wineries so you can just drive that as far out as you want and take in the views and stop anywhere that intrigues you.
