Sciatica
Anyone suffer from this? It is kicking my as literally! So painful. I'm ok during the day but as soon as a I lay down anywhere (so it's not my mattress) it starts. By the time I wake up I can barely move. I've been stretching and taking Advil but don't want to continue taking that. Anyone find any other at home treatments? Really trying to not go to a doctor but obviously will if it continues.

My dad had it. Not what you want to hear but he had epidural for awhile as a bandaid before having surgery. He had other issues with his back as well.
I had it during pregnancy and accupuncture helped.

Re: Sciatica
I was dealing with pain that I thought was sciatica. Because the pain lasted for a few weeks, my oncologist sent me for some scans (normal protocol if I present any sort of symptoms for an extended period of time) but nothing showed. I was sent to a physiatrist and ended up diagnosed with piriformis syndrome, and I went for physical therapy for a couple of months. I felt improvement within the first week of PT. I no longer deal with that pain, but I'm really good at doing the exercises on my own to prevent it from flaring up again.

I dealt with sciatica for a while post-pregnancy. Tried just getting through it at first but it got worse. I'd recommend trying physical therapy. You may be surprised how well it'll help after just a few sessions.

Re: Sciatica
I have been suffering for a very long time. I feel temporary improvement after I see my chiro but since I got pregnant, I stopped going. On Sunday, I was on a yoga mat in our new house since we havent moved in and I couldnt get up. DH was nowhere to be found and wasnt answering his phone. I was stuck on the floor for approx 15 min before I managed to get up.
Yesterday this bad boy https://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Snoogle-Total-Pillow-Ivory/dp/B0000635WI came in the mail.
This morning I got out of bed without ANY assitance or pain. Not sure how long it will last but I slept better than I have in forever and the fact that I walked to the train this AM ( 4 blocks) without holding my back was a miracle.

Thanks! I had a snooggle that I slept with for both pregnancies and beyond lol. I loved it! I had a better night last night, used some essential oils at bedtime, did a lot of stretching beforehand and tried different sleep positions. Ugh I have been in that state many times where you're just stuck! It's awful. Hope you continue to feel better!

Yea I googled exercise and def fell they are helpful! Seems resting is the worst thing to do, it needs to be worked out.
