Silly question
When you're out shopping with your child who sits in the cart, do you put them in the car seat and then load the groceries or do you load the groceries with them in the cart and then put them in their car seat?

Silly question
My DS sits in the cart as I unload them. I tried to put him in the car seat first, but he screamed bloody murder.

Silly question
I usually put him in his carseat and leave the door open while I put the groceries in the trunk. Then run back at lightening speed to put the cart back (worst part) or just leave it in an empty parking space like an a$$hole

Silly question
It depends on things as weather, whether the car next to me is pulling out or trying to pull in, how busy the parking lot is... For the most part though, l keep DD in the cart and unload groceries and then put her in the car seat.

Silly question
I put the kids on the carseats first. I figure they're safer there than in the parking lot with people backing cars up, etc.

Re: Silly question
Not a silly question. For me it would depend upon the weather. Rain, freezing, or snow, in the car my child would go. Otherwise I wanted them to enjoy the fresh air so they would remain in the cart until the groceries were loaded up.

Silly question
If the weather is nice and I'm not parked near any other cars that could potentially start backing up, I leave them in the cart. Otherwise I put them in the car first.

Re: Silly question
It depends on weather and there mood. If dry and they are happy I keep them in the cart. If it is raining or very cold they go straight to the car.

Silly question
I have done both. It depends on the circumstances. If I just have one child with me, I might unpack the cart, take the child and cart to the cart return and carry my child back to the car. If it's poor weather, I would put the kids in the car first. If the cart seems like it might roll or the lot is very busy, I'm more comfortable with the kids in the car first.

Silly question
So second part of the question- if you put your child in the car seat first what do you do with the cart when you're done? I always put her in first because people drive like maniacs and then I never know what to do about the cart and end up leaving it like a jerk.

Silly question
In the car with the doors locked. My son is a maniac and would be all over the place any other way.

My supermarket doesn't have the cart corrals so it solves that and I just leave the cart for the cart boys to get. Elsewhere, if I'm near a corral and feel comfortable bringing it I do, if not I park the cart somewhere safe and don't worry about someone calling me a jerk.

I try to park by the cart returns... so I get a cart first thing and return easily. I lock car when going to return cart. I do place DC in car first unless I have very few items and it is a glorious day.

Re: Silly question
I used to keep her in the cart and unload the groceries because I didn't like leaving her alone in the car while I returned the cart to the cart return area.
So unload, then push her and the cart to the cart return, take her out of cart and carry her to car.

I try to park near a cart return with carts already in it so it's easy to get my cart and to return it.

Re: Silly question
Depends the time of year. If it's nice out, he stays in the cart while I unload. If it's cold, I put him in the car first.
