Things to do in NYC this weekend - going in w my BFF
Any ideas? She got the hotel.... now it's my turn to pick the activities! Other than seeing a show, I'm clueless. Can you help me think of fun things to do? We are staying near Penn. Restaurants for dinner are also needed!!!Thank you!

I guess kind of in the middle.... lol. Nicer than a pub but not too $$$. I like all kinds of food, she leans more continental/Italian. Tapas maybe?

As for activities : Metropolitan museum of art, Moma , Guggenheim , Central Park zoo, picnic in Central Park , spa day at the red door spa , shopping / browsing at the shops on Madison Avenue, lunch or tea at the Plaza.

If it's nice out (I think it's supposed to be!), walk the High Line - if you start at the north end, you'll wind up in the meat packing district. Dos Caminos is near there - good food and not very $$$
Duane Park is a fun show and the dinner there is really great too
Near Penn, Lugo Cucina is a very good restaurant and not too pricey

I live in Manhattan and always check Timeout for stuff like Beer and Food fests.

Governor's Island is great. Hammocks to relax in, bikes you can rent and ride around the island. Best view of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Lots of food trucks. Ferry is like 2 minutes from the Battery Park area, and is free or like $2

We went on The Ride recently and loved it
check it out, its not too expensive and was really so fun
Also a food tour, we went on Nice Guy tours and had a blast

I feel like I always recommend Sleep no More, but it's so different and a truly unique experience. It's immersive theater. There is also Queen of the Night, which is a bit more lively and show-like, which is interactive.
