Penn State hazing death
It is tragic what happened and there should be some consequence for the kids who didn't call 911. However is it really that surprising? As a society we don't reach out to help those in need, everyone turns a blind eye and doesn't want to get involved in others peoples problems. We certainly cant expect more from 17-18 year olds if grown adults arent much better. Also in reading through the comments not one person put any responsibility on the kid himself and his choice to drink. This wasn't a prison, he wasn't held against his will, he could have left the party and the frat and this would have never happened either. I can only hope to raise my kids with better decision making skills on BOTH sides of this...

Did you read the details? It's not as if they did nothing, they were clearly concerned but flip flipped between ignoring him and doing things to try to "help" which were mostly cruel and heartless. Not saying he shouldn't receive any blame but what these boys did was horrible.

If you read the entire 81 pages of the Grand Jury report, he absolutely DID suffer and even after they tried to hide it. Disgusting excuses for humans.......how do you let someone DIE?????
There was one kid who kept telling the Frat President (I think) that they need to call 911. They shoved him into a wall and told him he was overreacting. I dont know, if I was that kid, I would have left and called 911 on my own. How you know he needs help and DO NOTHING is incomprehensible to me.
Yes.... Totally agree. I saw him on the today show and he made it like he did everything he could.
Uhhhh you could have called 911!!! He is just as guilty.
