Adult vaca - Excellence Mexico AI or cruise?
We are looking to go away with another couple. Originally we were going to do a family cruise, but decided to just do adults to celebrate 10 yr anniversary, 40th bday, etc. We found the RC Anthem cruise out of NJ (we live in NJ) very reasonable and also found an all inclusive in Mexico (there were a few we were looking at).
Which would you do? The cruise would be much cheaper, but that wouldn't be the make or break.

Not sure if it may be an option but I would see if you could book a suite in the Haven on NCL and how that compares price wise.
I think you'll have a great time no matter what. I've never been to that resort in Mexico but I know on cruises we usually enjoy the variety of entertainment options.

Adult vaca - Excellence Mexico AI or cruise?
I've been to the Excellence in Riviera Maya and on a bunch of cruises.
The Excellence, hands down. Not even a question. They are on entirely different wavelengths, IMO. And worth every penny.
I can't deal with screaming kids, crowds, etc on cruise. There is none of that at the Excellence, it's adults only.

If it's only adults I would definetly do an adults only all inclusive! Which Excellence? I've been to Excellence Riviera Cancun. It was so great. There's also Excellence Playa Mujeres. If you can swing it do an Excellence club room.

i would do the adults only AI!! the cruise would be great, too--- but i think a ship like the anthem would still have a lot of kids/ families running around.... so it would be nice to avoid that kind of stuff and REALLY get away! plus- i think i would be a little nervous being on a cruise when i'm leaving the kids at home... its harder for whoever is watching them to get in touch with you if they need to (unless you pay $$$$ for the internet plan...)

My mom and her bf just got back from Excellence Playa Mujeres and they loved it. They do a lot of AI's and said this was one of the nicest they have been in recent years.
I would choose AI!

All Inclusive I feel like on a cruise, you are limited in outdoor spaces unless you are getting off the ship. we just got back from an AI and it was so nice and easy.
