How old was your baby when s/he first liked the swing/bouncer?

I could swear that both my kids liked the swing and bouncer from day one. DH thinks it was several weeks before we used the swing. My 9day old NB wants nothing to do with the swing and bouncer but will fall fast asleep in our arms.

My son never liked the swing. We had a hand me down for him, so when it broke, we never bothered getting another one when I had my daughter.

We didn't have a bouncy seat; we have the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocking chair and they both really liked that. My son continued to use it well after he was a baby because it converts to a steady chair or can stay a rocker.

They hung out it them from day one, never turned it on until about 4-6 weeks.

Mine didn't like the rock and play or swing until about a month old. She would scream if we put her in either the first few weeks. She hates the bouncer

Swing since day one. Bouncer since day 2 lol.

Dd1 was in the rock n play right away, swing took a few weeks (maybe 2 or 3), she never liked the bouncer.

Dd2 was in the swing and Rock n play from day 1 (though she wasn't home for a little over a week), didn't have a bouncer.

she never liked the bouncer, the swing she didn't start to like until she was about a month old.

My DS didn't like the swing until at least a month. He also only liked it on the fastest setting which looks very fast when they're a newborn!!!

We never had a bouncer.

He loved the rnp from day 1.

About a month... but only my firstborn really liked those things. He was the opposite problem: he depended on the swing to sleep and grew out of it!

Swing from day 1 but at the lowest setting - we found as the baby got heavier, we had to crank it up.

Bouncer - DD was never interested. DS pretty early, maybe a few weeks/month.

We were given a mamaroo for DS hand-me-down and he wanted nothing to do with that thing.

Both kids loved the Rock and Play - we had the basic one with no movement or vibration.

I would keep trying, at a few days old, they don't know what they like yet.

If the baby likes to be held, I found swaddles to help and swaddles in the swing or rock and play. You could also try a sound machine to mimic the body noises like heartbeat.

Some kids just don't like certain things, but I think its too soon to make that call.

Both my kids would cry in the swing... Never was a big hit with them. Not even sure if I'll take it out of the box for this next baby. (They also both hated the carrier.. the type I'd wear on my body.. which was fine with me because it hurt my back anyway lol... so I gave it away).
Both liked the bouncer from the beginning and also the rock n play from the beginning.

DS loved the swing from the begining. He slept in it on and off for 5 months. DD never liked it, though she did at day care. I think she once stayed in there for 20 minutes at home. That was it!

DD #1 loved her swing and bouncer from day 1

DD#2 tolerated both from beginning but much preferred/prefers to be held in the arms. I baby wear her a lot

Mine both liked the swing from the beginning, but weren't crazy about the bouncer. DS1 never really cared for the bouncer from what I remember.
