Any reccs for hotels near the strip? Would like to be able to lay by the pool during the day and then gamble at night or see a show. Any shows you would recommend? Would be a long weekend with my husband.

I really like the rooms at the Cromwell - it's a small, boutique hotel, on the strip.
As far as shows go, can't go wrong with any of the Cirque du Soleil shows - although my all time favorite was "O", followed by the Beatles one, Love

My favorite is the Cosmopolitan with a room facing the bellagio fountains. Really love the balcony as not all hotels have balconies.

I love the pools at the Mirage and Mandalay bay.
I think the Mirage is better located. The Cosmopolitan is a fantastic location, I've never stayed there but have enjoyed drinks and meals there, so I can't speak to the pool.
I don't really like Cirque du Soliel but I really loved LOVE, the Beatles show.

Going back in July.
we usually stay at the flamingo.
We usually stay for free due to total rewards. This time we are staying at Caesars. (again for free due to total rewards).
We have seen zumanity which was fun. There are some naked people but it's vegas.... 
We also saw LOVE and it was amazing. We have seen it twice.
We also saw rock of ages there but I don't think it is playing any more. But it was so much fun!

I LOVE Vegas and can't wait to get back.
I have actually been planning Vegas trips for my clients all week and it is making me want to go back sooner than we had planned.
My favorite hotel on the strip is the Venetian or the Palazzo. There are a lot of other great options too.
As for shows, Love by Cirque was my absolute favorite but there is something for everyone for sure.
