I know plenty of good people who voted for him who I would never label as ignorant, misogynistic, prejudice, etc.
I don't think a presidential CANDIDATE needs to release his or her tax returns. I understand it's been tradition since the 1970's - I just don't agree that we need to know what a CANDIDATE did before he or she was elected.
From 2017 forward, it's a different animal. A sitting president should release his or her tax returns while in office for income earned WHILE in office.
Why wouldn't we need to know?!?!
If you have NOTHING to hide then you have NO reason to keep them from the public.
He's running our country and his decisions effect our economy so he should be COMPLETELY transparent with everything..............his businesses, his taxes, etc. The fact that it's all a big mystery reeks of deceit.

Why *shouldn't* it be a requirement to release your tax returns when you are holding the highest position in the US? The cabinet nominees have to provide theirs don't they? Makes zero sense to me that this information isn't required.

before he was elected president - he was a private citizen. Going forward he should absolutely be required to release them but as a private citizen, the libertarian in me has a problem with it.
FTR, I absolutely do think he's shady and hiding something - but he should not be REQUIRED to release them for a period of time he is not in office.
He should have been honest while he was running and flat out said he wasn't going to release them - but let's face it, we all knew he wasn't going to do it.

FTR, I absolutely do think he's shady and hiding something - but he should not be REQUIRED to release them for a period of time he is not in office.
Fact is, he should have been honest while he was running and flat out said he wasn't going to release them - but let's face it, we all knew he wasn't going to do it.
Going forward...............who cares about his taxes. You know while in office they will be squeaky clean because they cannot afford a scandal.
He should've been forthcoming MONTHS ago. What if there was something shady in those returns, something to give the American public pause?? It could've very well affected the outcome of this election.
He is hiding something and that is unnerving.

He is hiding something and that is unnerving.
Do you honestly believe that if he released his tax returns it would have changed the results? Just look at this board - the people who were voting for him, were voting for him; and the people voting for Hillary were voting for Hillary. No one's mind was being swayed - no matter what was published about either one of them.
The bottom line is he won because by focusing on the rust belt, he outsmarted the Democrats, and the lack of a viable third party option had people who didn't like either of the two major party candidates handcuffed.
He absolutely should have been forthcoming, but he's NOT.

You never know, likely it wouldn't have however, I can't stand how shady and dishonest he is. If he is as honest as HE claims to be, he should've released them.
Clearly, we're never going to get honesty with this jacka$$. Just lies and "alternative facts".
