Favorite Walking Sneakers
I am looking for a new pair of sneakers. Not necessarily for working out but for walking - we have a trip coming up with lots of walking - I want them to look cute with yoga pants etc
Any brands that you recommend? TIA

Re: Favorite Walking Sneakers
anything by new balance! nike is the worst because they are narrow.
i fell in love with a pair in paris but in france they dont carry half sizes?! wtf? luckily I had a layover in Denmark and tracked the sneakers down. Most comfortable shoes ever!!!!
I also find toms super comfy!

Sketchers Go Walk but really any sketchers are very comfy.

Re: Favorite Walking Sneakers
If you find somethign let me know. For some reason I can't wear sneakers. I am actually more comfortable in boots, shoes, barefoot, flip flops- ANYTHING other than a sneaker.
I have tried them all- skechers, new balance, all the ones that are supposed to be for bad feet and the second I put them on and start walking a few steps I get severe pain in the balls of my feet. I tried every kind of orthotic and insert out there too.
It's almost like I need a much stiffer sole than a sneaker provides? Maybe that's it?
Who knows. I have really really bad feet

ITA! I love Skechers. They are all comfy, esp with the memory foam.

New Balance.
I also like Ryka, a brand hard to find but so comfortable. A woman's sneaker made by women, so they tend to fit better. I like running shoes a little bit better than walking - the heel base is wider giving more stability.
Good sneakers were important to me after my knee replacements, I was learning how to walk properly again.

I had Sketchers Go Walks, and while comfortable, my podiatrist said they offer no support. She told me Asics were the best.

This could be my issue. The Go Walks caused so much pain in the ball of my foot and the metatarsal area. I am guessing it's due to the lack of support.
