Shipping a box to Europe
I would like to ship a box to Europe - the UK. It will probably weigh about 50 lbs. The Post office is probably going to be too expensive so I am looking for some sort of cheapo courier service..
I know people who ship to Poland a lot but they are in Queens - does anyone know of any courier service on Long Island that ships to europe for reasonable money?
I am in eastern suffolk so somewhere like Riverhead would be great.
Thanks!

Re: Shipping a box to Europe
I dont know about Europe specifically but my mom ships boxes to my grandmother in Colombia every few months and she goes to a shipping/courier service in Woodhaven, Queens that is dirt cheap. I dont know the name of the store but its located right on 84th Street by the "J" subway entrance (The 85th St/Forest Parkway stop). They are located on next door to the corner pharmacy, across from a fruit store. There is street parking (meters). They are open Saturdays.

Is it a gift? If so I'd check with the person who is getting it because they may get hit with taxes.

Re: Shipping a box to Europe
have you checked with UPS ground? I would imagine post office or UPS/Fed Ex would be all about the same, and i'd probably rather use them then some less reputable company if i was shipping something that important/big/heavy overseas
