Is this tacky?

I'm due with dd#2 in late June. 3 year old dd wants to move into the bigger bedroom and paint it purple. She barely slept in her room as a baby. Is it wrong to just reuse the nursery including decorations, bedding and furniture or am I already shafting baby #2?

Not at all! I reused crib sheets and a few other things and my two aren't even the same gender!

Save your money. No need to redecorate now. You can do it when dc2 is older and wants to redo their room.

Thank you. Dd wants a big girl room so I won't have to add much to the room she is moving into.

I did the same thing. We did not find out the sex for either of our kids (both are boys) so about 4 months before I had the baby we painted the bedroom and let our older son pick out the theme. When the youngest gets older we will redo that room to whatever theme he wants.

I don't know anyone that didn't reuse nursery furniture. I ended up having all my kids close together so I had to by my son a new crib for his big boy room but I got something that converted to a bed. Then when #3 came I got a new crib for #2 but I got something pretty since I knew she would be in it for a couple of years.

Not at all! If you have the stuff, why not reuse it? My younger 2 are & will use anything & everything that is still in good at the time they are ready to use the items.

We kept the same exact nursery for all 3 of our babies. Ithe never even occurred to me that there would be anything wrong with it. The baby would be in the nursery until he or she moved up to a different "big kid" room. My older two like to talk about how they had the baby room when they were babies.

Thanks all. Makes everything so less expensive. Dd is thrilled that the baby gets her baby bedroom and she gets a purple big girl bedroom. We have 6 months but there is a lot of crap I have to find room for so we can do dd's big girl room.
