Toys-in a playroom or in their bedroom?

We have toys everywhere! Well, mostly their bedrooms and the living room. No playroom in our house. I would love to eliminate toys from somewhere, but with no basement that isn't really a possibility.

Now that we have a playroom all the toys are in there.

Before we moved DD had a majority of toys in her bedroom and we had a toy chest in the living room with some toys.

Toys are mostly in the basement. We have some games in the den in the bookcase. Only thing in their rooms are stuffed animals and books. They have their pictures and other decorations for the room. I feel like we're hardly home anymore, but when we are they can make a mess in the basement now. LOL! They're older (7 and 5). Once my youngest was old enough I took the house back. Chat Icon

My son is only 1, but he only uses his room for sleeping, diaper changes, and for getting dressed. We have a play yard set up in our living room with his toys. We also have a room in the basement that I set up as a "playroom" but we only venture down there occasionally because it's kind of annoying and out of the way.

Toys in playroom which is in the basement. She also has some toys in the living room she can play with. The only "activities" in DD's room are a bookshelf with some books and some stuffed animals in her closet. She reads two books before bed and picks a stuffed animal to sleep with.

Right now we have toys in the living room!! Chat Icon

They have way to many and I am in the middle of purging stuff.

I am also trying to figure out what to keep in their rooms vs playroom. Obviously anything they share, so board games, books, kitchen, right now peppa pig stuff, legos will def stay in the play room and then I will try to figure out which of their own toys will stay in the play room vs their bedroom

Playroom and their rooms

When we house hunted I needed the extra room for a playroom. So at the end of the day everything goes back to its spot in the room
