shutterfly gripe!
I placed an order 2 weeks ago for photo cards and photo books that I give each year to grandparents as gifts. I was thinking today that it's weird I still haven't received the packages. I looked up the order and they tried shipping my packages to my old NC address!! I don't remember selecting it as my shipping address so I looked at their system and they have default shipping in a small location - not even a place to verify the shipping address - which seems like dumb business for an online retail business.
Anyway, I call customer service and she told me that I have to wait 14 days for them to be mailed back to Shutterfly and then they'll mail them to me. Um... what?! I don't usually stand up for myself but that's unacceptable! I told her that they're Christmas cards and Christmas gifts and there's no way I can wait that long. She said she didn't know what else she could do. So I told her to cancel my order and I'll go elsewhere. Then she said that I already paid for it and I replied that I was going to contest the charges on my credit card b/c I didn't receive my order.
She was stumped. She had no idea how to proceed. Um.... doesn't this happen all the time? Especially since they're website is wonky by not verifying the shipping address before confirming the order? She put me on hold for a long time then finally came back and said that they're going to re-run the order and I'd have it 1 day before we fly to FL.
Sheesh - you'd think with the amount of business they do this time of year that they'd have better customer service than that!

OMG!! I just looked at the order that she placed for me and she completely mangled my current address. Including marking me as AL instead of NY for my state! At least my zip code is correct but now I have to stay on hold again to talk to someone else!

They have the worst reputation around the Holidays that is why I never use them.

Mine somehow defaulted to a FL address that I haven't had in 10 years and have deleted about 4-5x. I now double check all addresses because it's such a pain in the butt to change. Good luck. Hope you get everything.

I've been ordering from them for years and never had an issue. I had no idea their customer service was so awful.
I sent an email to give them the correct address, and they sent me a reply. He made sure to let me know that *I* was the one that didn't enter the correct address and listed the address that it's going to be sent to..... which is the same wrong AL address that the first customer service person entered! I wrote back to let them know that *I* didn't enter the new address wrong and that they need to send it to the correct address. Then I asked him to reply so I know that they've made the correction.
The gall to tell me that I don't know how to enter my own address! If he looked at my account he could see that my correct address is in there and have had ordered shipped to that address for the past 2 years!
