Anyone NOT doing holiday gifts for teachers?
I have so many to do between DD and DS with school after etc. After care alone is up to I think 4 people. DD has her main teach (K) and they have 2 assistants, DS has 2 teacher. I feel like its getting out of hand and honestly I really can't afford it this year.
(I get hit hard around this time I have DS birthday, then xmas, then right after DD birthday)
Is it really wrong of me not to do anything? I don't know if DD class moms are collecting money for the teacher gifts if they do I would contribute to that.

I would give what you can afford. Even a token gift with a thank you card would be appreciated and is a nice gesture.

I contribute to the class gift. That's it.
Last year it was a teacher and an aide (all the K classes have aides) so they collected double.
This year it's just a teacher so I am sure it will be one collection.
What's the point of a class gift and the class moms collecting money and buying something if we all have to go out and buy individual gifts on top of it?
Defeats the purpose IMO. In that case, don't bother with a class gift.
I also give the bus driver- usually $25 cash or a gift card.
But nobody else.

I am going to contribute to the class gift, but not as much as usual since DH is out of work.

I agree I find it pointless to give two gifts I just haven't heard from the class mom; I am just going to text her and ask if she is collecting.
And I forgot about that after care she goes on the bus no idea who the person is but I would have to also get them something  its out of control!!
