How long is too long to wait?
I have a 12pm appointment today... It is 12:15. I've been here for 20 minutes. I'm okay with waiting a small amount of time at dr office (30 min) because I know they get backed up if they have emergencies, but for things like massages, facials, haircuts, laser hair removal (where I am now), I don't think it's okay to make people wait like this. I drive 30 mins to these appointments and so I don't want to leave and reschedule, but I'm mad they're not respecting my time.

How long is too long to wait?
Ugh! so frustrating. But, I always think in those situations - what's my alternative? Leave and come back another day? To me, that's even more inconvenient, so unless I really HAVE to leave, I'd probably just wait.

I'm inpatient...and get annoyed very easily lol
So in my case I'd get up and leave. I'm not paying someone so I can sit and wait around.

Did you ask what the delay is? I would ask and then see from there. Normally if I wait more that 30 minutes I go up to the desk tell them I'm leaving and to call me when I am up next. I hate waiting around.

ITA. I hate waiting at places like that when you have an appt. Dr's offices I have learned to have patience, because I have been that emergency patient that set their whole schedule back. There aren't emergency manicures, lol! But yeah, if my alternative is to leave and have to come back, I will wait it out for about 30 min if i can.

So, it was around a half hour wait. After I posted, I got up and asked the receptionist. She said they just started running behind during the last appointment. I said that this is the 3rd time the appointment has been late out of my 4 appointments. She told me to bring it up to the owner. I did and the owner said that she's normally on time. She apologized and brought up that people run late at doctor's appointments. I said doctors have emergencies and there was no emergency here. She apologized more and gave me a free facial. I'm still annoyed that I had to wait, but at least I get a facial for my time.

Good this in the end she accommodated you. It's rare I need to wait more than 15 mins for my wax girl but on the rare occasion I've had to wait closer to a half hour or more, I've been annoyed. Thankfully that's rare.
