I don't know enough about DP to comment but when I was looking at towns before deciding on mine, one thing I did was check out the local stores, supermarket, reviews on restaurants , etc. if the stores weren't cared for or homes weren't kept up with, I moved on. There were parts of the town I live in now that aren't well kept, so we moved to the more kept area of town (in my opinion)
We also checked crime rating for the area and what type of crimes. Sex offenders , etc
If the homes are kept nice, and the stores are clean and people are generally friendly - that tells me it may be a good choice.

My inlaws live in deer park and are happy there. My niece and nephew went through the school system and are both in college.

I grew up in Deer Park and still have family there. While I get the sense the community is changing, I personally did well in the school, went to college, etc. I had nice neighbors and everyone maintained their homes.

We live in Deer Park and we love it here. The school district is is good, my 6 y/o DS is doing well. Our neighbors are very nice, the homes are maintained Where are you looking? If you want to FM me fee free.

My husband and I just bought a house in Deer Park less than 2 years ago and we love it! We came from being out east and we love being more central on the island. There's so much around us and our neighborhood is nice, quiet, filled with kids, etc. :)

I looked there but passed. My friend lives there and took her kids out of the schools to put them in private schools. But take a look at the area yourself and see what you think.
