iphone/icloud storage.. I'm so confused
Ok, so I do have a crazy amount of photos, like 5000 on my iphone.
So I purchased an insane amount of icloud storage.
But it still says I am running out and need to backup etc.
What am I missing here?

You probably have it saved to both the cloud and the phone. 9'xe youuplod to the cloud, delete off your phone.

I had the same issue. Basically you don't have enough space on the phone for it...and if you delete pics off the phone then they are deleted from the cloud too...so stupid!! So basically you have to take the pics from the cloud & save them elsewhere & then delete from your phone to create more space. So the cloud is sort of useless when it comes to that. It's only good if something happens to your phone, then you still have everything on the cloud.
