Pretty open. I don't get into it much on here...been around long enough to know that discussions on here remain civil for about one page and then the shit hits the fan.
I have buttons on my bag and one on my jacket. Got a compliment on them this morning by a European couple here on vacation 
I occasionally go on a FB rant and if anyone notices pages or articles I like, then it's pretty clear where I stand.
No bumper stickers. Only PJ ones

Very open, and always have been. This year I have a bumper sticker, and I'm open on all social media. My political leaning and ideology is a big part of who I am - it informs my profession and many of my lifestyle choices, as well.

I voice my dislike for certain candidates. My family is well aware of my stance. I don't discuss with strangers. I grew up with the mentality that religion, abortion and politics and conversation death.

Do you advertise your politics?
Not really. Every now and then, especially during the debates I'll comment on someone's post on FB, however I usually keep it off. I posted ONCE about the rape society that we are living in (after the Trump comment) and it became WW3 on my page, where I ended up deleting it. With FB, I apparently have a lot of Republican friends, which is fine, however the posts that are posted "your a moron if you vote for Hillary" get under my skin, so I just leave it alone and laugh at their poor grammar (IT'S YOU'RE...MORON!)
I post on here sometimes if I have a question or something to say.
I mostly discuss with family/friends if I know we can have a rational discussion without it becoming baby-ish with name calling. I've discussed this election at work because most people here are union and we have similar economic interests.

I never used to. I wasn't so moved and was afraid of ruffling anyone's feathers, retribution etc. Until this election.
I have never felt so strongly and given such zero sh*ts about what others think.
I am a proud Sanders supporter. I have a lawn sign out (still), bumper stickers, a t shirt, I post on social media, volunteered, hosted volunteer events, canvassed, made phone calls, attended rallies, discussion groups, donated money.
I was/am really proud of my candidate and I'm proud of my beliefs. I feel now that our political system is broken and relies on the people's ignorance, apathy and/or complacency. And I am never going to be quiet ever again.

This! I never advertise on my property, or on FB or other social media. But all the crazies seem to be on here anyway, where I have mentioned it.

Never advertise. I prefer to keep politics very private because it is such a volatile topic.
Same. I (think I) understand both sides and why they are voting for their candidate and IMO nothing good comes from arguing with people who are never going to change their mind. Especially if you are good friends with them otherwise!

I dont advertise anything on my house, property etc.
please..Im not even allowed to put up NYRangers signs on the house or my car b/c i live in flyers country..and flyers fans can be dbags with vandalizing stuff.

Truth about flyers fans. I went to a ranger flyer game when I was 19. All I did was stand up and clap when the rangers won, which back in 2002, was not very common lol. I had sofa and beer thrown at me, called names, and had some 50+ year old man in my face while his wife laughed. DH (then my boyfriend) had to come between us.

Never. I live in a pretty conservative area in NC (super pro-Trump) and I am pretty liberal. I've had other moms that we do play groups with make political comments, and I never say a thing. My politics are completely opposite of theirs, and I just don't want to get into it.

I was putting a lot of pro MY candidate and anti the other one on my FB Page. I realized how dumb that was and stopped.
It's only polarizing. It's only alienates. It only causes fights and nastiness.
So I have stopped 99%.
I also don't have yard signs etc. they will just get stolen no matter who you support.

Other than DH and a couple of friends, I don't openly discuss who I'm voting for. I would never put a sign in my front yard for a candidate. I've talked about the election a little bit on FB, but I have never stated outright that "I'm voting for X." I've expressed disappointment in this year's candidates and noted that I'm an Independent voter. That's about the extent of it.

For local politics, I tend to be vocal and have placed signs in my yard before.
With friends, I may mention "my feelings" about specific politicians based on my relatives' experiences working with them over the past 30 years.  (It's more about how they treat others which I think says a lot, than their policies.)
And I'm sure people can figure out my stance on FB based on the public figures I follow or the things I "like," but I don't actually post or discuss politics...I just read.
