Halloween party at DD's school - with POLL

DD's school has an annual Halloween party. This is her first year there, so I don't know the particulars - hence this poll.
It's next Saturday. DD, DH & I will all be going. DD will be wearing her costume. Would you wear a costume? Or maybe just an accessory? (like a witch hat, or something similar), or just go in regular clothes?

I vote regular clothes but I don't dress up for Halloween under any circumstance so there is no way I'd go to her school in a costume....

Last year for my sons class I wore a Ninja turtle t shirt and ninja turtle eye band thing I found at Walmart. The kids loved it.

I wouldn't wear a costume but a found a really cute Orange shirt at Target that had a black cat and said BOO...so I would wear a shirt or an accessory but not a full Halloween costume

I wouldn't go in just regular clothes. But I don't think a full costume is necessary either. I have a Halloween t-shirt and top hat with spiderwebs that I got from Michael's.

Regular clothes.
A hat may be festive... but other than the teacher, you will probably be the only one.

I would normally do something simple like draw on a cat nose and whiskers and wear black, but this year I am considering dressing up. I bought a dorothy costume because little DS is obsessed and might wear it to school for older DS (K) halloween party and/or costume parade. I'm a class mom so I'll be helping to run the party and I think the kids might enjoy it. I'll ask DS what he wants me to do and if he wants me to go in costume I will suck it up and do it Chat Icon

I normally wear an accessory like cat ears or a silly headband but if you are comfortable wearing a costume, wear it! The kids love it when the parents come dressed.

I wonder if we go to the same school. My 3 yr old DS's school is having a Halloween party next Saturday too. I plan on wearing a halloween shirt, but not a costume.

My DS in Kindergarten and just came home yesterday with info about his parade. The paper actually said if you are a parent and attending, we are asking you not to wear costumes for safety reasons. Who knows what that means? Maybe some parents were idiots and were inappropriate costumes, but even say a witch hat could block peoples' views or something.

Oh I totally read this wrong. I would just wear regular clothes. Or even wear a Halloween themed shirt. No costume.

I think they don't want the adults in costumes because some random crazy could be there in a costume too= like the clown thing.
