what do you do if you go to an open house and you hate the house but like a piece of furniture or a vintage 1977 bottle of port that you KNOW the owners will probably just toss in the garbage?

Send an email to the listing agent that you are interested and see if sellers are interested in giving away or selling.

why not just ask them if they are willing to sell the item(s)?

I think the only thing you could do is ask the realtor if the owner is interested in selling that piece, but this is really unusual and I would not expect it to work out.

Re: cant think of a subject...

I would ask them to ask the seller

If they are not the owners/living in the house then they prob would welcome selling it

I bought a bedroom set from an open house! I just asked the realtor who asked the seller for me.
