We did the orchard this year and it was ok. The one with the Vineyard on Sound is great.

I would go to the main one at 715 sound ave. If you want apples, you have to go to the orchard at 5698 sound ave. They also have a pumpkin patch at the orchard, or you could get apples then drive down the road to the main farm since it's not far. It might be slow traffic though.
The prices for all the extras - hayrides, corn mazes, barnyard adventure are on the website. We only went apple picking this year, but I think the pumpkins at the orchard were 69 cents a pound.
Go early in the day if you can to avoid traffic and make sure you have time to enjoy the farm. We didn't even try the barnyard adventure last year because it took us much longer than expected to get there and then we were all hungry and spent a crazy long time on line for food. (It was a holiday weekend ).

I don't think people realize there is more than one Harbes on Sound Avenue. Once you see the first one, keep driving to the 2nd one that is about 5 minutes past the first.

We went to Harbes today since I didn't feel like driving to Hanks (to the Mattituck...the 2nd one on Sound avenue). It wasn't that crowded, my kids had fun. ZERO traffic when we were on Sound Avenue at like 10:00 AM. When we left around 1pm it was bumper to bumper going east bound and the lot was completely full at the first Harbes...meanwhile there were still spots at the 2nd Harbes. I think people see that first location and just automatically stop there (which is fine, but drive further for less people!).

Harbes Family Farm which is the 2nd one on Sound. Check out Stakeys, Gabrielsens, and Helens. These are less crowded and you don't have to get in the Sound Avenue traffic.

Theyre both on sound Ave. the one you want is the family one. The orchard one also has kid stuff.

Although I will say I like hanks in water mill so much better.

Are there any apples left to pick there? My SIL said she went this year and the apples were terrible....not sure where she went though? Has anyone been apple picking there this weekend?

Hanks is $13, Harbes is more expensive for less IMO. I think we paid $14 each and the hay ride is an extra $8 each (which we passed on!). I much prefer Hanks!!! Plus their corn maze is interactive with these punch cards, and chalk for the kids. If you go, I would get there early though since traffic and parking is a PAIN at all these places as the day goes on.
