In LA - we really enjoyed the Warner Bros. studio tour and Huntington Gardens. We got tickets to see a tv show, saw a dodger game, visited the Ghetty and spent a day at Disneyland.

RANDYS DONUTS!!!!!! YOU MUST GO HERE !!!! go when you arrive and when you leave since its 8 minutes from LAX

I love santa monica! http://www.1212santamonica.com/ they have an uni (sea urchin) risotto on the dinner menu, but you canrequest it for lunch. its delicious! food service - FANTASTIC

breakfast/ brunch http://www.huckleberrycafe.com/menu.html
i always laugh at how ridiculously expensive their baked goods are, but its worth it. their food is INCREDIBLE! huge portions, healthy and SO filling. best breakfast in the world. this is a must every time im in LA.

def go to Venice beach walk on the boradwalk. go to muscle beach then go shopping and have drinks on abbott kinney blvd. its seriously the coolest street in america lol cute galleries and awesome boutiques. You will love it.

I stay at Hotel Erwin in Venice as well as The Chamberlain in LA.

hotel Erwin has an awesome rooftop.
i actually prefer venice beach over LA

Just wanted to update you on what I did in case you were looking for feedback:

LA

Hollywood,
Runyon (from Mulloholand it was only a 15-20 minute walk to the top, must-do!),
Malibu,
Santa Monica Pier,
Venice Beach at sunset (was amazing!)
Warner Bros Studios (worth the $$$)
Walk of Fame & Chinese Theather
Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles (TWICE! So good!)
In-n-Out (of course)
Korean BBQ in Little Korea

San Diego
Children's Pool - very cool but smelly LOL
La Jolla (walked around the town, cute!)
Mission Bay (very nice! If you have kids, go to the public beach - North Cove. It was so nice and relaxing and perfect for little kids to hang out in!)
Gaslamp downtown - You HAVE to go to SHOUT. We just randomly popped in and it was the best time! It was Dueling Pianos & so funny!

I can't think of what else. LOL. DM me if you have any questions! We didn't do the zoo/seaworld because my friend believes they're bad but they looked nice! LOL. Also would add Universal in LA if you could fit it in, looked cool!

ETA: We also drove route 1 from LA to San Diego and it was beautiful! We kept stopping at random little towns and ended up at Crystal Cover Beach at Sunset. Hands down the most beautiful sunset I have ever witnessed in my life. If you're doing both San Diego/LA on the same trip, definitely drive down from LA to San Diego on Route 1 if you can! (Better on the way down as you're on the right hand-side of the road and get to actually see the water).
