Disney/Orlando in Mid-November
We found out recently that DH's cousin (who was in our bridal party when we were married) is getting married next November in Orlando. We figure while we are down there to go to Disney and maybe Universal (not sure what would be best as we will have a 5 and 2 year old). I know it is still a while away but anyone know how the crowds are in Mid-November? Also how far in advance can you book (thinking about possibly doing a Disney package, but not sure). Thanks!

Disney/Orlando in Mid-November
fun!! it should be pretty good crowd-wise. its right before the busy thanksgiving and christmas breaks. EPCOT usually has food and wine festival going on then, so that might bring a lot of local people in, especially at night. All the christmas decorations should be starting to go up then, too!!! I bet you could book soon-ish, since its almost a year out. All you need is a $200 deposit, and you have until either 45 or 30 days before the trip to make the final payment. so really, you don't loose much by booking soon and just putting the deposit down... You can make dining reservations 6 months before your trip... so i usually try to at least book by then, so i can get some good dining reservations ( character dinners book up fast, if you want to do one of those....)

The week before thanksgiving is the 5th least busiest week at disney and thats the week we are going this year! The christmas decorations go up the first week of november. You can book a room only package now as you can book 499 days out. The planning is half the fun! And i definitely suggest disney over universal based on your kids ages.

Re: Disney/Orlando in Mid-November
I went last year in November and it was like the hottest november on record it was in the 90's . Hopefully it won't be as hot for you next year. I would take a look at the universal rides by height. I definitely feel like for your little one disney would be better. maybe wait another year or so for Universal. They have a cute dr seuss section but there are a lot more height requirements than disney.
I think you can book about 7- 8 months before.

You can book now for next November, room only though. You can book 499 days beforehand, so definitely can do it now. You can change it to a package in time, though, so start thinking about where you want to stay and book it soon. Nov can also get busier with the Mickeys Very Merry Xmas party and Xmas decorations going up, etc.
I would not bother with Universal for those ages. JMO

Re: Disney/Orlando in Mid-November
Fantastic! My birthday is right around Thanksgiving so we've gone twice then. No lines, cool but not cold. The only thing is no beach/outdoor pool time. So worth it though!
