Anyone been to the one in Yonkers? Ive read mixed reviews on it. Is it worth the money and drive for a 5 & 4 year old? Thanks!

i've been while visiting family in the area but looks a little expensive if you are just driving for lego land.

I think it's totally worth it! It's not Lego Land, it's a Lego Discovery Center, so if you are expecting it to be like Lego Land, you will be disappointed!

We went during a weekend to see The Blaze in Tarrytown around Halloween. We had a great time there. The kids loved the ride. We spent a few hours, and I used a kids go free coupon from the Lego Magazine. It was not crowded at all when we went. It's in an outdoor mall, so we had lunch at a really yummy burger and shake place within the complex.

It's not far, like 20 minutes further than the Bronx Zoo, so if you think the Zoo is a long drive from where you live, I would skip it, or make it into an overnight adventure.

I took Dd when she was about 21 mo and I thought it was cute for half a day (she was free). I didn't really think it was that far at all, but I drive a lot with her. I would also say 4-6 is probably the best age group for it

I also agree it was not GREAT, but my boys last year had fun at 3yr old.
They do have promo now that kids are FREE with paying adult. For this, I would go. If you have to pay for the kids...forget it

I'm searching too & will post if I find it. I saw the promo code on FB on Thursday but then told myself I would get it later on & can't find it now.

Re: Legoland NY

I would go if you have never been to lego land. It is not lego land and expecting an entire theme park well I could see someone being disappointed. But it is not advertised as the same thing, so I think you need to set your expectations for what it is. It is bigger than a lego store, but smaller than lego land. It is fun for ages 3-8. Our kids stuff book had discount tickets. It has a play area, spaces to make Legos, model classes, life size lego house. Some built lego models to look at, a small movie, and a small ride. It is not as big as a theme park. I think they are going to build one in the new mall in NJ, but that will not be ready until 2018.

Not worth the price of admission. If they lowered their prices significantly than I could say it is worth it. Their rates are ridiculous for what they offer inside. DS loved it but he loves anything Lego.

Re: Legoland NY

we live like 10 minutes away and buy annual passes when they are on sale each year for Cyber Monday. My kids 2 and 5 (the 5 year old has been going since she was 3) have a lot of fun. Its true it can be expensive for a one off trip but otherwise its a fun place to spend like 2 hours on a rainy day.

And like other people have said its part of an outdoor mall and there are lots of yummy places to eat there and good stores to shop too.

We just did it last weekend with m son who is 5.

He had a blast.

is it a great deal? no. we had the coupon code, I think all in for the 3 of us was $50. for an afternoon. Would I have liked it cheaper? yeah.

We did feel we got a lot of enjoyment out of it and made sure we did the different things. I found the lego building class to be a great experience, hands on instruction. the 2 rides were decent and he enjoyed the indoor playground.

Just don't have the expectation that this is an amusement park.

we wandered a few shops after, hit the cheesecake factory for dinner. Sat outside in the mall square and he played on the playground while my wife fed my other son, it worked out pretty great actually.
