Activities for 3 1/2 year old

Hi everyone, I just wanted to see what activities do you have your 3 1/2 year old in? I have tried Pro-soccer- she cried every time so I canceled. I signed her up for gymnastics she did alright with it but had some separation issues but went. Towards the end she was fine and seemed to like it. I talk to her about it this summer and she says that she doesn't want to go back. Do I sign her up anyway? or look for something else? If I look for something else what should I do? Dance? I feel like thats so expensive and if she doesn't like it I'm stuck....

Side note she LOVES school and goes without an issue. However I don't drop her off my mom does. But she is fine. I am kinda stuck and not sure what to do. I am open to any suggestions you have...THANKS!!!

School and dance. Her school also offers enrichments which is an hour extra after school. We're doing music and yoga lol. She also did camp this summer.

She loves, loves loves dance.

What are her interests? You could always sign her up and pull her if she doesn't like something.

Yea, I guess I'd have to talk to the dance company and ask if they allow something like that.

She loves soccer and playing it at home she just didn't like the fact of doing on her own. I would do yoga with her but I am going to have twins in January so that might be hard to do with her.
She loves arts and crafts and cooking too

DD is really busy. She is in a full time program. She does Dance on Saturdays during the year and swimming a few sessions a year. She also gets speech and OT 1x per week. I list them as activities because they really are a lot of fun. DD also has done. horseback riding lesson here and there when she's off from school.
This winter DH plans to introduce ice skating.
DD didn't like soccer at all either.

Wait until she's older.
Why waste $ and time?
DD now has gotten into swim (4.5).
We may do dance in the fall... But when I tried out a lesson it wasn't great.

Dd loves loves loves ballet (this year, ballet & tap). She also has pt 2x/wk, so between the 2 we are busy enough. We made a big deal that mom waiting in the lobby makes her such a big girl, and she gets a kick out of the fact that I can watch her on the video monitor.

I wouldn't push her too hard; it might make her more anxious. We have a girl in our 3-4 year old prosoccer class whose mom still goes on the field and the coach is fine with it. Dance is kind of expensive, but most schools have monthly tuition or will give a partial refund if you pay up front and quit. I'm sure you could even choose not to be in the recital if you think she won't do it and don't want to buy the costume.

Yes, I was thinking this too...I feel she knows enough to tell me she doesn't like something she will tell me when she is ready to do something...I might look into dance but it it very expensive. I may just have to wait for the "formal" activities until she is ready.

School and we're going to try dance. I want to put her in soccer but you need to be 3 1/2 and she just turned 3. We will do swim this winter. We are also going to do nursery Sunday school at church because we are there on Sunday's anyway and it's just a fun class for the little kids with craft, snack, etc.

She'll be in school 5 1/2 days a week. This summer, we did mommy and me and soccer. In the fall, it will just be dance. Since she is in school 5 days I want her to have one morning that she can just relax and not rush to go anywhere.

Re: Activities for 3 1/2 year old

My DS who just turned 3 is starting preschool in the fall, and also is signed up for soccer and a music class (which we've been doing together since he was 8 months old).

Could you ask the dance place if they do a free trial class? Or what the cancellation policy is if she decides she doesn't like it?

Happy Feet also starts at 2...DD starts in September (she will be 27 months). Our town has U-3 teams so she will start that in April (she wont be 3 until June). She comes from a huge soccer family so I am praying she likes it!
