Ughh...someone calm me down
One of DS's friends from school invited him to a park play date this afternoon. His mom was picking him up from my mothers and going to meet up with a few other classmates and their moms.
She just texted me that her DD threw up all over the car a block after she picked up DS.
I called to see whether she brought DS back to my moms, but she said that they came to park and she thinks it was because her DD got car sick. She had just given them McDonalds before they got to my moms. Her DD said it was the nuggets that made her sick.
She said that she is running around playing with the other kids and has not thrown up again.
Should I be worried that its a stomach bug? or the fact that she has not thrown up since it happened (about an hour ago now) and that she is running around means that it may have just been a case of motion sickness from the car?
I know at this point it does not matter if it is or isn't but I do not do well with vomit (I DEFINITELY have Emetophobia - the fear of vomiting) and this is stressing me out at work right now

Ugh that is awful... But some kids are pukers in the car. I hope that is the thing.

All you can do is hope that is was motion sickness and give your daughter a bath and change her clothes when she comes home.
Good Luck - hopefully it was not the bug!

I am in the same boat... Doesn't sound like a bug. McDonalds made me sick every time I ate it. It sounds like that and the motion in the car.

Hopefully everyone is fine

Re: Ughh...someone calm me down
Thanks for all the calming messages
I spoke with the mom this morning and she said no other incidents since the car. She was a bit warm when she put her to bed and complaining that her belly hurt last night, but nothing came of it.
This morning she was asking for breakfast and seems her normal self - they were on the way to swim practice.
To be on the safe side, I gave an extra probiotic and had DS drink a glass of water with Apple Cider Vinegar in it last night and this morning. It cost me a Lego set to get him to drink it, better than puke that is all I can say.

Or motion sickness. DD NEVER got motion sick in the car until this summer. She was complaining her stomach hurt on the way to PA. Crying actually. We pulled over at a rest stop thinking she just had to go to the bathroom. Nothing. Got her some fruit too figuring maybe she was hungry. Got back in the car, went a little further, started hystercial crying and puked EVERYWHERE. I was in a panic thinking she had a stomach virus and our trip was ruined. But once we cleaned her up and got her back in, she was fine. Got to the hotel, fine. Ate breakfast and everything. Must have been car sick.

We were on our way home from PA this past week and we hit so much traffic approaching the city. We were in the car for 4 hours.
DS started complaining that his tummy hurt, then he started moaning that he was going to throw up.
He sat the rest of the way with his head in a bag. Lucky for us he did not vomit, but he felt pretty crappy for a few hours after we got home. He was fine by dinner time.

It's so weird too because she has never gottne motion sick ever. She's 6 now and it's become a thing. Meanwhile she goes on all kinds of crazy spinning rides at amusement parks and never gets sick from that! So strange!

Re: Ughh...someone calm me down
DS gets motion sick in the car all the time. It started around 10 months. I guess that's something he gets from me. I always threw up in the car when I was a kid and still get car sick now every once in a while. My brothers kids are the same way. They always get sick in the car.

Maybe it's just Pennsylvania.
She never gets carsick but I saw it coming . Poor thing kept.saying "I hate doing this"
But once we got moving she was much better. We had to.open the Windows in the car and she drank some water but she didn't get sick.again and no one else did either.
