love it!
fwiw: I nursed my older son for 27m and my younger son is 21m and still nursing. I have nursed in public covered, uncovered but discreetly, and in baby carriers all over the place. I have never once had a negative comment from anyone.

Yeah I was going to say- where do people get their balls from to even think of approaching soemeone and saying that? It blows my mind.
I saw a video of an old guy in target screaming and harassing a BFing mother in the food court. He made such a scene, the managers had to come over. He was screaming and yelling about how he doesn't need to be subjected to that and when the managers told him she was within her rights to do that there, he made a bigger scene and demanded a refund of his food.
The mom was very shaken and crying as she was recording it on her cell phone. Some other women came over to defend her and block her from that assholee.
What a d-bag

I remember seeing the same video! I haven't nursed in public, not that I'm ashamed to, I just haven't had need to yet. But I am a little scared of something like this happening. Family members are even weird about it.

I was petrified to nurse in public with DD. I only did it a few times because I felt so awkward and was afraid of what people were thinking and that they may say something to me. My family was not supportive either so that made it really tough too.
I'm now pregnant and I plan to grow a set and nurse in public without fear. There is nothing shameful about it and it people don't like it they can go scratch.

Thank goodness I haven't gotten any negative comments when nursing in public but I can only imagine what those moms that have, must feel
What disgusts me more are comments made by other moms and family members...the ones that u'd expect more support from!
Kudos to u for doing it mommy!!!!

Thought some of u might get a kick out of this (PS: Bfeeding related)
I never was brave enough to nurse in public or even in front of any family besides dh with my first baby. I would always go to my car or sit in an empty room if we were at someone's house. But this time around I decided I didjt want to miss out on anything my older child was doing when we go out anywhere, so I refuse to go hide to feed my baby. So far I haven't gotten any negative comments, but I always feel like everyone is staring at me, even though a lot of that is probably just my imagination. I just wish everyone would get on the same page with realizing breastfeeding is totally normal and nursing moms shouldn't have to feel afraid to feed their babies in public.

This is exactly what happened with me. I use a nursing cover but I don't get up and leave anymore. DD is 13 months now, still nursing.
