Finicky Eater Out of Nowhere!
DD is 15 months and has all of a sudden decided that foods she used to LOVE (grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.) are now disgusting. She will refuse to eat them and throws them off her plate. Please tell me this is a phase and she'll snap out of it. I refuse to be a short order diner cook at mealtimes so if she refuses the food given, I give her one of our standard go-to foods like yogurt or string cheese. I feel bad that that's her meal, though -- DH says not to worry -- she's eating something reasonably healthy and its not like we're giving her McDonalds.

Totally normal. I would like to say a phase, but that's just being a toddler. They don't starve themselves and will eat when and what they want.

Yep... That's when it starts.
Unless she is thin or your ped is concerned, I skip the meal they are refusing and not offer anything else until the next meal. They will be hungry and eat the next meal better.

At 6 years old, DD is STILL doing this.
she used to love cheeseburgers. Then cheeseburgers were the devil for about a year.
Now she is slowly starting to eat them again.
Same with any form of chicken. She won't eat even chicken fingers- only chicken nuggets.
She is VERY limited in what she likes, will eat, or will even TRY.
Sometimes she eats NO meat at all.
Most of the time she is on what I call the "reverse Atkins diet" all carbs, no protein!

Normal. I'm just happy when my 3 yo eats...anything. My 14 mo looks at food and throws it on the ground. They both eat when they're hungry, though. They don't starve!

Normal. My 3 year old is still.like.this. she will like a food.on Monday then hate it on Fri. She eats a lot of.yogurt.
