How is Atlantic City in October? Where to stay that won't break the bank?
Hello- will AC still have a fun vibe in Oct or is it more of a summer destination?
Any recommendations as to where to stay that's inexpensive but clean (just need a functional place to sleep - not luxury :), a fun place for drinks (preferably frozen margaritas), activities.....meeting up with a friend for a little break from the kids.

How is Atlantic City in October? Where to stay that won't break the bank?
Tropicana is where we stay. A lot of bars and clubs and restaurants plus the gambling of course. They just renovated the casino and 1/2 the hotel rooms.
Borgata is super nice but very pricey.

It's popular all times of year... Esp during weekends
You can get mid week deals in the fall/winter months that make staying almost free!
We also had a great experience staying at Tropicana for very little $ in winter.
Check which ones have indoor pools/spas.
As for margaritas, there is a bar on the sand that has good ones... Land shark bar & grill and a Margaritaville (not on the sand).

AC is definitely busy all year.
Check out Groupon - they sometimes have great deals.

We stayed at Harrahs last October. It was really nice and they have a great indoor pool area.

We stay at the Borgata every November for our birthdays and we really like it. They have a nice indoor pool too
