Just got back from Kalahari
Even the adults had fun!! My kids are 4 and 2 and the little kid section of the waterpark was just perfect for them. They did venture over to the bigger section but we pretty much stayed in the little section. The room was clean and plenty spacious for all of us. Definitely want to go back!

Thanks for the review. We might go this summer. Was it really hot in the water area?

Have you ever been to Great Wolf? How does it compare?

No, we have never been to Great Wolf, but my brother told me that the waterpark area seems about the same, but the rooms were a bit dirty.

We went to Kalahari in May and we loved it. It was very clean , the food was good, and the waterpark wasn't crazy crowded. We had a really nice time, the kids loved it!
From what I hear, among people who have done both Great Wolf and Kalahari they have said that Kalahari is hands down SO much better.

Better food choices at Kalahari. Water park is about the same, no wave pool at Kalahari, though. DD loves the one at Great Wolf. The little kid area is bigger at Kalahari, especially for babies. As for rooms, no difference. I have been to GW several times and never had an issue with cleanliness or bed bugs. I think it gets a bad rap due to internet blabbering.

This. I would add that outside of the waterpark Kalahari has little to offer. At Great Wolf you have MagiQuest, the bowling alley, and the "spa" in addition to the arcade. I also much prefer the lazy river at Great Wolf to the one at Kalahari. It's longer and wider.

We went in April with our 4 and 6 year olds and loved it. They weren't a fan of having to wear life jackets but, other than that they had a blast.

I feel like summer would be LESS busy only because it's warm enough to do outdoor water activities, beach, pool etc. In the winter you feel so cooped up that an indoor water park is a welcome change
I went during spring break week in April and it was crowded but not unmanageable or crazy at all - and that was a super busy week

Did they have to wear regular life jackets or could they wear puddle jumpers?

We brought DD's puddlejumper, it was fine and no problem at all
They have life vests they provide if you need them though.
