1 hour, absolute minimum. Usually more like 2.
I used to work in a peds office and saw parents wait upwards of 3 hours.
I would never wait that long! I would be switching Drs so fast!

This thread makes me love my peds office. We go in right away and the nurses play with my LO for a few minutes and then the doc is in. I'm pretty lucky so far.

I usually get called into a room within 5 minutes of checking in and then wait in the exam room anywhere from 5-15 minutes.

Re: Average wait time at pediatricians office?
Old ped - an hour or more in the room sometimes before a doctor came in.
New ped - usually 5, MAYBE 10 min. If we were squeezed in or a last min appt I've waited 20, but not more than that.
I told them when we switched to them one of my issues was wait time, so not sure if this is the norm or they're careful with us? But also, the nurses will hang with my son or come in and out if the doctor is taking a while, which is nice.
