This sounds just like what happened to my sister
She became jaundice bc a stone was stuck in the duct
She had to wait a few days than had the surgery and her recovery was great

Uti or kidney infection? UPDATE at bottom
Ok so I'm so annoyed. The gi specialists came in and gave me a totally different story. My pancreas is still inflamed and levels have not changed. My liver levels are dropping. So I will have gall bladder out in a few weeks but hey may not be able to send me home tomorrow unless my pancreas levels start to drop. It doesn't seem that there is a stone stuck in a bile duct. I'm on a clear liquids diet for now. This is not fun lol

Ugh, I'm sorry. That must suck ,especially the liquid diet.
But they really can't fool around with your pancreas...that's pretty serious so it's best they are keeping you.
Hope you get well enough soon so you can go home. What a nightmare.
Once your gallbladder is out you will feel like a new person!

Thank you. I hope I'm able to go home tomorrow. It's hard with 3 kids and living oos from our families. Luckily we are in ct so it's not far but far enough I cant just drop them at my moms. And my youngest is 7 weeks so this is really hard

Well after arguing with the dr lol I'm going home today. It was very aggravating here as no one seemed to speak to anyone and I was getting different answers. Then they were telling me my levels hadn't changed yet that's why they couldn't send me home but they never even did blood work. Anyway my blood work came back and my levels dropped so I get to go home. In a few weeks I have to have my gall bladder out.
