Sleep position? --UPDATE AT BOTTOM !!!
DD is aost 4 weeks old and spits up constantly- sometimes while eating/ sometimes an hour after Is there anything I can do for her at night time / sleep position ? I try to keep her upright for a good 10-15 minutes and burp her frequently but no matter what I do at night about 45 minutes after falling asleep she wakes herself up with grunts and then spitting up It's a vicious cycle because to get her back to sleep she wants to nurse again And we go round and round typically between 3 am until 7 or 8 Any advice??? I'm exhausted !!!!

Sleep position?
I have DS on an slight angle in the bassinet. I put a folded blanket under the mattress. It helps a little. DS has reflux and is constantly spitting up, coughing choking etc so this def helps.

Did you speak to the ped about reflux? She may need to be put on some medication. She may also need different formula/change in your diet if breastfeeding. DS had HORRIBLE reflux. At night we kept him in the rock and play. Once transferred to the crib, we the comforter that came with the crib set (which I'll NEVER understand why it comes with one) under the mattress to keep him elevated. Also, we burped him after EVERY ounce. It took FOREVER but it helped a little bit.

Sleep position?
I would try a rock and play. Dd2 was a big grunter and always spit up if laid flat after eating. She was so squirmy and loud at night for a while. We switched to the rnp after a few weeks and it helped a lot. After a few more weeks we went back to the bassinet and she did better.

Re: Sleep position?
I went thru this with my first. It took time and I ended up letting her use a rnp for 3 months. Also, we put cereal in her bottles. When she went in her crib I used the crib wedge.

Sleep position?
My ped said to incline the crib or bassinet 30 degrees, and to make sure the abdomen is kept straight, not scrunched up at all. She said putting the baby in a swing or bouncy seat can make the reflux worse bc it puts pressure on the stomach.

This is exactly what my friend did with her DS but she did it for like 3 months or so and her DS would also sleep in his rnp during the nights, next to her. She def noticed a difference.
I'd just keep an eye on the position of her head (keep switching from right to left) so a flathead doesn't develop.

For the past two nights DD has been sleeping in a RNP What a difference !!!!! Thank you so much for the recommendations!!! I have also gone dairy free and the spit up appears to be much less as is the crying We have also gotten into a little bit of a sleep / nap routine which I think has also helped I'm keeping my fingers crossed !!!!

I've been dairy free for about 7 months as well, and even though is not easy, it's doable. There are some great FB groups for dairy free moms that have def helped me in this journey, let me know if u wanna know which ones they are.
Glad u're seeing improvements already

Lolol! Even some carbs have "hidden" dairy so be careful. It's easier to identify milk, butter, yogurt but the ones that are a pain in the a$$ are the hidden ones like casein, whey, ghee, etc! This is a pretty good link to identify them Go Dairy Free
Also doesn't matter how silly it can be, make sure to always read labels cause there's dairy in almost everything! Not that I usually eat them, but who would have thought that there's dairy in McDonald's french fries!
There will be times where u might want to know if a specific food has dairy, or u're going to a restaurant and want to quickly know what u can eat, or want to know recommendations for dairy free snacks. I usually ask these type of questions in my FB df groups and ppl will answer u pretty quickly. These are the ones I belong to:
Deliciously Dairy Free
DF Diet - Bfeeding
Milk Allergy Mommies
