RSVP rate

Just curious what would you say is your typical RSVP percentage rate in terms of Yes and Nos. (Not counting the people that don't RSVP, I am going to count those as No's).

I am doing a joint Bday party for my DD and DS at Saf-T-Swim. I can have a max of 24 kids. I've invited 24 kids and still haven't included cousins and a couple of family friends that I would like to include if possible. I just didn't want to exclude any of the kids from their classes, but at this point, I think I am hoping some might not be able to come! LOL

For DS 1's b-day parties, we've gotten 100% yesses. We typically have some back out on the day of due to illness but, everyone has RSVPed yes.

With that max, I'd invite at least 8 more. I've noticed that when it has to do with kids, there will always be a good number of last minute cancellations due to illness, vacation, even naps!

First year here we invited 32 kids (he was in half day Kindy so he had 2 classes of kids) - 9 showed up. Last year we invited 25 kids and 16 showed up. It seems to be random for us.

Naps?! People back out of birthday parties at the last minute because their child is napping???

Seriously. That's disgusting. Thankfully my friends would never do that.

For classmates, we invited 9. 6 replied yes, 1 no, and 2 didn't respond. On the day of 7 showed!

I had a family member force us to change the timing of an event at our house, which was hugely inconvenient for us so her kid could take his nap so I saw this and was wondering if maybe I was the odd one out thinking this nap or else mentality was ridiculous. Glad to see I'm not Chat Icon

Re: RSVP rate

The kids are past the napping stage. They will be going into kindergarten and 2nd grade. It's also the first Saturday after school kets out so people may be busy. I combined the birthdays tobsave $$$ as theur bdays are only.about a week apart, so I hope I didnt screw myself. Lol

All their previous parties were at home so I didn't really care how many showed or didn't show.

For us it was a pre school class. Invited 13,8 responded and only 4 were able to make it. I was glad we have neighbors and cousins.

Re: RSVP rate

We had maybe 3 say no out of 18... And an additional 1 bailed for sickness the day before... It ended up working out perfectly .. I couldnt believe how many yes's we were getting though... Maybe bc of my child being in preschool ... Idk... I'm thinking maybe parents had less activities that would normally go on with an older child Chat Icon
